I am learning to count cards not to gamble or anything but I have a probability and stats class and I think it'd be interesting to learn how to do and it would give me an edge in the class. Anyways I have been researching how to count cards and every website states that one must master basic strategy - okay got it. So I have seen a few charts and I don't understand what the numbers and or letters on the side left columns mean.
Here are two different examples:
www.online-casinos.com/blackjack/blackjack_chart.asp
www.blackjack-strategy-page.com/blackjackstrategycharts.htm
For example in the first chart the top column's first number is 2. The first left column number is 8. Then an "h" or hit is place in the meeting point of those two numbers. I don't however understand what A2, A3 etc mean! (I am guessing that one card is an ace and one is a two or three etc) Please help me understand the chart. Thanks!

So I have a blackjack chart in my pocket, the kind that tells you what to do and they let you bring to the table.
But I want to play Spanish 21 too. You know, with no 10s in the deck.
If I print out a Spanish 21 chart just from my computer, is that legal in casinos? It's not official or anything.
If not, where can I order one?

I'm going to the casino and I plan on playing just blackjack. I'm looking for some tips to win, I can't really count and if I did i wouldn't know how to use it. I know the basic blackjack chart, when to split and double down based on statistics, but where should I sit and if I have a choice, would it be better to play with more or less people? I think the casino uses 6 decks, if that helps.
